BI Launches Online Student Visa and Permit Application

INTRAMUROS, Manila—The Bureau of Immigration (BI) officially unveiled its online system for student visa and permit applications on Wednesday.

During a ceremony held in Intramuros, Manila, BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado emphasized the project’s significance as a step toward the agency’s modernization and automation goals.

“This initiative is a priority for the BI, aimed at simplifying and securing the application process for foreign students seeking visas and permits,” Viado stated.

The new system enables schools to submit applications directly to the BI, streamlining processes by eliminating unnecessary paperwork and offering the convenience of online submission.

Foreign students and educational institutions can access the service through the BI’s e-services platform at e-services.immigration.gov.ph.

Viado noted that this initiative is the BI’s contribution to positioning the Philippines as a premier education hub in Asia.
