Public Viewing for Nora Aunor’s Wake Set for April 19 and 20, Limited Hours Announced

On Thursday, Lotlot De Leon shared details regarding the wake services for her late mother, the beloved Nora Aunor.

The wake will begin on Thursday, April 17, with family members of the Superstar being welcomed at The Chapels at Heritage Park from 7 p.m. until midnight, including a special Mass at 8 p.m.

On Friday, April 18, friends and family of Nora will have visitation hours from 1 p.m. to midnight, with a Mass scheduled at 7 p.m.

Public viewing will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. only. From 5 p.m. to midnight, the wake will be restricted to family and close friends. A 7 p.m. Mass will also be held during this time.

On Sunday, April 21, family and friends can pay their final respects from 1 p.m. to midnight, with a Mass at 7 p.m. as well.

Nora Aunor’s burial will take place on April 22 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig. Further details regarding her state funeral will be announced at a later time.

Nora, who passed away at the age of 71, was posthumously honored as National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts in 2022. Known for her iconic renditions of “Pearly Shells” and “Tiny Bubbles,” she also became famous for her unforgettable roles in films like Himala, Bona, and Minsa’y Isang Gamu-gamo. Her recent works included the films Pieta (2023) and Mananambal (2024).
